Ice Fishing For Perch

Green Bay has offered some of the best perch fishing anywhere in North America. During the mid to late 90's we experienced a huge drop in the perch population, however the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources made significant changes to protect this resource and the result has provided some great fishing opportunities.

In recent years we have seen increasingly better fishing each season with 2006 offering many limit catches and 2007 offering some outstanding sized perch.  This type of fishing is best in January and February when Ice conditions allow us to reach the best spots safely.

We utilize light tackle tip-ups and jig sticks to target yellow perch in varying depths from 7 to 30 feet of water.  We round out our equipment with Aqua-View video cameras and Lowrance fish finding equipment.  Our day will be spent on some of the best perch fishing locations in the area. I would not hesitate to book a perch fishing trip and enjoy your day catching a meal of Jumbo Yellow Perch!!!!!

Ice Fishing For Northern Pike

Gators don't only live in the south you can find them under the ice in Sturgeon Bay.  Some will stretch over three feet long and inhale bait that requires extra large minnow buckets.  Northern Pike are active most the the winter with early and late ice being some of the best times to fish

Plan to target these fish with tip-ups using stout line and large shiners minnows.  Finding structure near weed beds is key.  We will have these areas well mapped and ready for your outing.

Ice Fishing For Walleye

Sturgeon Bay Walleye are among the largest in North America.  An unlimited forage base of Alewife and Smelt allow these fish to grow to be truly world class.  Find yourself jigging shallow water for a walleye that will undoubtedly get your heart racing.

Describing the feeling of seeing a double digit pre-spawn walleye on the ice doesn't do justice to the "reel" experience.  Plan to fish March in the early morning and evening. Jigging seems to be the best way to target these fish so come prepared to put your time in behind your jigging stick to stir up a monarch monster eye.  You will be setup in key staging areas with predrilled holes and access from shore.

We will outfit you with setups that have been proven to catch big fish.... We can't promise a truck full of trophy walleye, but I can promise that the fish you catch will be some of the biggest you will ever see.  The unbelievable size of these fish has brought me back to try my hand at these fish each year.  I am certain that these fish will do the same to you.
